It is estimated that more than 20 million Americans suffer from sleep apnea and most are untreated. YOU may be one of them! Our goal is to give you the tools to do a self-screening and help you work with your primary care physician to get a sleep test if necessary.

How do I find out if I have sleep apnea?

First, consider your answers to this simple sleep questionnaire. Please check all that apply.

I have been told I snore loudly
I wake up un-refreshed, feeling like I haven’t slept or often wake up with a headache
I fall asleep easily during waking hours at home or work
I often feel tired or fatigued during the day
I have difficulty staying asleep
My mouth is usually dry when I wake up
I have diabetes or suffer from hypertension
I find it hard to concentrate, am often irritable and/or suffer from depression

If you answered yes to two or more of these questions you indicate for sleep apnea and should consult your doctor about being tested.

You should have a sleep test either at home or at a qualified sleep diagnostic center to diagnose whether or not you have sleep apnea. Your doctor needs to order this test by prescription. We can help you order a HST through your doctor. Click the 'Next' button below to learn more.

If the results of your sleep test indicate you have sleep apnea, then your doctor may order PAP (Positive Airway Pressure) therapy for you. PAP therapy is the gold standard of treatment for sleep apnea.
